Richard grew up in San Diego North County and enjoyed exploring the abundant open space on foot, bike, and horses growing up. The experience taught him much about the natural world and helped him develop a love of the outdoors. He thinks it is important that kids today and in the future have the same opportunities to enjoy the natural open spaces, rather than just seeing them on TV. While Richard joined TECC’s board with the idea he’d use his engineering and business background to support TECC’s efforts, he quickly became TECC’s unofficial official photographer, creating stunning pictures of the Escondido Creek watershed that now grace the TECC website and TECC’s outreach materials. In his official TECC role, he has served as TECC’s treasurer, and is the current President. Continue reading
