Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear/bring?:

Close-toed shoes (hiking boots are best), sunscreen, a hat, and outdoor adventure attire. Please bring a refillable water bottle as water refill stations are available on-site.

Will there be vegan and vegetarian options at lunch?

Yes!

What is the hiking terrain like?

The Mountain Meadow Preserve includes rolling hills on a base of decomposed granite. Both the 1-mile and 3-mile hikes include some hill climbing. The small area of the Conservancy office, where the shuttle will drop you, is flat. The decomposed granite can be slippery so hiking boots are recommended.
