DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Escondido Creek Conservancy (TECC) is seeking an Environmental Education Intern to assist with nature-based fieldtrips and produce educational materials such as lesson plans and other resources.  The duration of the internship is from October 2nd until December 15th, 2017, with an option to extend until May 15th, 2018.

HOURS:  10-15 per week; schedule is somewhat flexible but fieldtrips often occur weekdays between 8:30-12:30.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for nature and working with children
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, imagination, and an upbeat attitude
  • Competence with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Publisher
  • Self-motivation
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop a plus

DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Escondido Creek Conservancy (TECC) is seeking a Water Quality Intern to assist with monthly chemical tests along the Escondido Creek and compiling data.  The duration of the internship is from October 2nd until May 15th, 2017.

HOURS:  5-8 per month; water testing schedule is somewhat flexible but will have to be coordinated each month with our water quality team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for nature and the environment
  • Majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexible schedule to coordinate monthly tests with our team
  • An upbeat attitude

The duration of the internship is from October 2nd until December 15th, 2017, with an option to extend until May 15th, 2018.

HOURS:  10-15 per week; schedule is somewhat flexible but must be available Wednesdays or Fridays to report to the office.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for nature and communication
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Creativity, imagination, and an upbeat attitude
  • Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram,
  • Self-motivation
  • Familiarity with MailChimp, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud and Final Cut Pro a plus
