School’s Out. Numbers Are In!
The 2018-19 school year turned out to be a whopper! In fact, it was the busiest school year in our organization’s history. All told, we helped provided nature-based experiences for 4,943 students from 53 schools in the region.
Here’s a snapshot of our impact this school year:
And here is how our numbers have grown over the past 5 years:
2013-14 school year = 224 students
2014-15 school year = 786 students
2015-16 school year = 2,219 students
2016-17 school year = 2,262 students
2017-18 school year = 3,157 students
2018-19 school year = 4,943 students
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our ever-inspiring volunteers who wake up early and donate their valuable time to help connect children with nature! We also want to thank the Malk Foundation, the San Diego Foundation, SDG&E, the Charles H. Stout Foundation, and donors like you for helping to fund our education programs and increase our impact!
How you can help!
Please consider a donation to the new Escondido Creek Eichen Education Fund so we can continue supporting the bus rides, staff time, and materials to keep our education programs running!
