We Resolve to Make you Proud to be a Conservancy Supporter

2020 started out great, as our dear friend Dr. George Sardina dropped by to give us a wonderful gift to start the new year, a check for $100,000! His contribution will help support The Missing Lynx.

As I wrap up the numbers for 2019, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the support we have received, not only in 2019, but over the last decade. Because of your support, since 2009, we protected 2,429 acres! More recently, the SAVE 1000 Acres campaign came to a successful end with 726 donations received and roughly $425,000 in contributions which helped us leverage $11 million in grant and other funds that were used to purchase the now-named Mountain Meadow and Sardina preserves. This accomplishment would not have been so great without the partnership and support of the Friends of Daley Ranch, the Palomar Audubon Society, and their many special supporters. I am very pleased to announce that the Friends of Daley Ranch and the Palomar Audubon Society have agreed to continue to partner with us in our next land acquisition campaign, The Missing Lynx. Also joining this new campaign is our newest partner, the National WiIdlife Federation. Funds raised from this campaign will be used to preserve connective lands crucial for wildlife throughout the Escondido Creek watershed.

2019 also marked the year we started the Eichen Education Fund, a new campaign to support our education programs. This fund began with a very generous donation of $50,000 from the Eichen family. Additionally, in June of 2019, the Eichen family announced they would match all donations up to $20,000 through the end of 2019, and you, our donors, got us there! The Eichen Education Fund now has $90,038, a strong start to achieving our goal to raise $400,000 by the end of 2023 so we can continue to connect students to nature.

Thank you for trusting and supporting the work that we feel so passionately about! We are truly grateful, honored, and excited for what the future holds!
